Joe Charlevoix,
Meteorologist
Joe was born in Norway Michigan, a small town located on the Wisconsin
border near Iron Mountain in the Upper Peninsula. Ever since he was a
young child, he has been fascinated with the weather. When Joe was 3 or
4 years old, he was drawing weather maps with crayons and his eyes were
glued to the television meteorologists, most notably at WLUC TV6 in
Marquette.
Joe attended college at
Valparaiso University in Indiana and one of his best memories from
college was his freshman year when Valparaiso went to the Sweet 16 in
the college basketball tournament. While in college, Joe pursued a
degree in Broadcast Meteorology and interned in Chicago at WGN-TV. Joe
graduated from college in May 2001 with a degree in Meteorology and a
minor in Geography. He is married to his wonderful wife Sara, and he
has a daughter, Ava, born in May of 2009. | |
